Editorial Policy

This page explains how Deep Focus Daily decides what to publish, where its information comes from, and how mistakes get fixed. It applies to every article on the site.

What we publish

We publish practical guides on focus, productivity systems, remote work setup, digital tools, and daily routines. Each article should give the reader something they can act on the same day: a step-by-step method, a checklist, a decision framework, or an honest comparison with pros and cons.

Sources

  • Methods are credited to the people who created them, and we link to the original book, paper, or official page where one exists.
  • Health and ergonomics claims link to recognized authorities such as OSHA, the WHO, or peer-reviewed research, not to other blogs.
  • Product features and prices come from the vendor’s own pages and can change. We date tool comparisons and tell you to check the vendor’s site before you buy.

Personal experience

We don’t invent anecdotes, testimonials, statistics, or quotes. If a post describes hands-on use of a tool or method, it says so. If it summarizes documented information instead, it says that. When we haven’t tested something ourselves, we won’t imply that we did.

How articles are written

Drafts are written with the help of AI writing tools. Before a post is published or updated, a person edits it and checks it against this policy: every study or statistic must point to the original source, links are opened to confirm they say what the post claims, and anything that can’t be traced to a source is removed or clearly labeled as an opinion or an illustrative example. In October 2026 every article on the site went through this check again, and claims that didn’t hold up were corrected.

The free tools on the site are built with the help of AI and tested in desktop and mobile browsers before they go live. They store what you enter only in your own browser’s local storage, which is functional storage with no tracking, and they send nothing to this site or to anyone else.

Updates and corrections

  • Every post shows a “Last updated” date next to its publication date.
  • Posts about tools and apps are the most likely to go out of date, so they get reviewed first.
  • If you find an error, use the contact page. We fix confirmed errors promptly and update the date on the post.

Advertising and independence

The site may display third-party advertising. Ads don’t decide which topics we cover or which tools we recommend.

Who is responsible

Articles are published under the byline Alex, a pseudonym for a software developer who works remotely. You can read more on the About page.
